We want to warn everyone that a site like this that refers to trainpetdog.com is still active. This is actually rather another scam formula.

Design-wise there are some good clues that this is a scam site.

1) the dates are simply programmed to be on or near today's date

2) the type of comments are typical for what any blog owner receives as spam in their mail boxes

3) the use of yellow and red

4) The main, English, website, cxxt.net.cn, is hosted in China.

5) It is always good to visit the main page of a domain name. In this case you get a large directory of similar pages, all reviewed, apparently, by an older Chinese male who recommends all these sites based on his personal experience, which is impossible.

6) Today, July 30th, all these reviews were supposedly entered on July 23, also impossible.

7) And then there are a bunch of meaningless replies, like no real person would ever take the time to bother registering or even typing for.

We know that points 6) and 7) are in a sense repeats of points 1) and 2) but the details are typical items helpful for recognizing scammers.
Just want to make sure everyone is getting it. Although we know that in the heat of doing online searches everything seems to be connected, but use your common sense and do some independent review testing first.

The set back for Sumantra Roy

Here is an older post in 2003 on a message board that we didn't write about yet, in which Sumantra Roy's not responding was gladly to be believed a case that 'fell through the cracks'.

But we have seen similar messages, like this one in 2004. Someone was wondering in 2006 if Sumantra Roy had suffered a set-back or family-related issue because he was not responding to help requests for his keyword optimizing business. See the post here.

As we have explained on our website, we know why Roy didn't respond. It's because he occupies himself with ripping people off.

We are glad to still be spreading this message and also for example this one, and finally see his scam businesses decline. Visitors to his site are currently down to 68,000 per month from over 200,000 in February of 2011.

We're just posting this to let Sumantra Roy know we're not going to quit. He probably needs to buy himself a whole new name to ever be able to work up a reliable business again. Of course we know there are plenty of opportunities out there, so people, keep using your common sense, please stay aware, and thoroughly check anyone you are doing business with.

Sumantra Roy is the owner of trainpetdog.com

This information is nowadays hard to verify because of anonymous registration of url's (domain names). But in 2008, when we started publishing about this scam, we found this out by using 'whois' services. This information can still be accessed in legal cases, but not for our publishing purposes.

Sumantra Roy launched the pet sites (dogs and parrots) in 2004 and 2005. This was a few years after he had started his search engine optimization businesses 1stsearchranking and placed articles on major search engine optimization websites in 2001.

Here is an overview of some of the sites he owned in 2008.

Today Sumantra Roy is still in business and still poses as an model business man, sometimes even as a (controversial) example of a successful online business, despite admittance that the success story wasn't true!

Sumantra Roy's next business goal, according to the article above, is to set up shop in the United States. He might want to clean up his business act before he does.

We don't know the extent of his scamming with the trainpetdog.com sites. All we know is that a substantial group of people complain about subscribing to his membership site and not getting access to it. They get misleading and confusing instructions. They don't receive a refund, they don't even get a reply to inquiries. His trainpetdog.com has an F rating with the BBB. We do not know how many people get ripped off and do not complain. We do know, however, that we get an average of 25 to 30 people a day visiting our website searching for a review or for scamming activities. So we will keep putting the word out about 'succesful businessman from India Sumantra Roy' until he comes up with something better.

Why does Trainpetdog seem so succesful?

When we started reporting in 2008 about the scams by Trainpetdog.com we did a lot of research. How is it possible that a scam site can go on without being caught? The answer is that trainpetdog has a little low cost team in India of Search Engine Optimizers and they are constantly working on promoting their scam sites using the latest SEO techniques. After all: Search Engine Optimization was Sumantra Roy's initial (not so successful) business.

In 2009 we found, by using backlinkwatch that there were about 960 sites linking to Trainpetdog.com. As of today, January 2011, this number has increased to over 5000 links to trainpetdog. This is how trainpetdog proliferates the internet.

We hope that as people are getting more internet-savvy they will look for online reviews about the companies they are planning to pay for services. Our review blog is easy to find and we have a link to our homepage that gives details about the scam.

Check out our pages. If you recently have been scammed by trainpetdog.com, call your creditcard company and stop payments, or get a new credit card. This business is not going to refund your money. They have become more unscrupulous over the years: the amounts they charge your card are larger, and they are now recurrent as well (for 'membership' services).

Gary Fujioka related to trainpetdog?

Surprised by the strange and immediate reaction by the site owner of germanshepherdworld to remove our post notifying him about a scam seal of trainpetdog on his site yesterday, we looked into who owns this site. We used whois lookup and here is the result:

Guess what? This site owner's name is Gary Fujioka and a quick search on the internet shows that he has an extensive criminal record of 120 entries that can be viewed here (enter his name). They run from 1992 and up to 2007. He has been called a con artist in the dog world. We really need more of those! This web page is created about Fujioka to publish a warning about his German shepherd site, similar to what we are doing about trainpetdog. It was published by the Leerburg Dog Training site.

Apparently Fujioka is involved in businesses with computers, computer parts, websites and pets. We also found his blog, created in 2008, with just a few posts. His own personal criminal history could be an answer to his questions when he is wondering about the fate of his children. We know this is the same Fujioka, because he writes about "Jana" - whom he wanted to become his wife according to his blog. This was written on Dec. 9 of 2008:

The postings in his blog might suggest a slight turn in his life. However, he would be really on the mend if he removed the trainpetdog seal from his German Shepherd World instead of our posts about the trainpetdog scammer's seal.

Amy Rollison replacing Nancy Richards at the trainpetdog scam

We received a few emails today letting us know that "Amy Rollison" of Trainpetdog contacted them for the trainpetdog.com reward, and the request to put the trainpetdog seal on their site.
This is the text:

"Dear, Congratulations! You have been selected
to earn the prestigious Top Dog Website Award.
Here is the form to get the award code

This award is given to carefully chosen dog websites
based on the information content and the overall layout.
If you have a generic dog website, you can put up the

It is obvious that the email is too generic for attentive site owners to fall for this scam. Others do a routine search for everyone who approaches them. Both good approaches.

Here three people/sites who went ahead and posted the 'reward' on their dog-related site:

UPDATE: The world is strange! We were so kind to notify the sites above, two per email, and the German Shepherd World via a comment on their site. Guess what? They apparently rather remove our comment than the scammer's seal. So now you know that too. Here is our second post. The sequence of the number of views (172 and 173 respectively) you can see we are not fooling you. They really removed the post!

Nancy Richards of Trainpetdog finally fired

We don't know when Nancy Richards of Trainpetdog.com was fired, but she is not on the home pages of Trainpetdog.com anymore. However, we do know why she was fired: she was a scammer, and that information was all over the internet.

We're kidding: not just Nancy Ricards is a scammer, but trainpetdog.com is. We have been publishing about this dog training scam based in India since April of 2008. We have effectively used our SEO skills against SEO expert Sumantra Roy to get top rankings when people do a background search on either Nancy Richards or Trainpetdog. As long as you check the internet for reviews to evaluate an online business, you'll be safe, because you will find out what people think about businesses.

Yet, we are also aware that the trainpetdog imperium does everything it can to confuse visitors and reviewers alike. They have now removed the name Nancy Richards from their sites and took a different approach. A new name you might encounter here and there is James Zachary, but probably they have learned their lesson and realize that profiling with any name is going to be a waste of time - because we will just follow them in their tracks and publish about the truth of this scam.

From what we can see, Trainpetdog now uses, among other things, the magic word review to attract people to their scamming sites, only to confuse them and lure them into paying membership feesfor non-existing sites, and other charges for disappointing products. They have set up several sites that pretend to be review sites. For more information about this, please read our posts of the last few days.

Admittedly, we are a bit behind the facts, because Nancy Richards must have been fired a while ago. We cannot find archived copies of the original trainpetdog site with Nancy Richards on the home page (and her nasty greeting with dogs barking in the background). But we just found a copy of Nancy Richards' 'sister' Nathalie Roberts of Parrotsecrets.com, and took a screencapture of her About us page. Here it is. We'll see when Nathalie gets fired too.

If you doubt that trainpetdog is a scam, look at their fake review blog. This blog claims to be a 'review of dog training tips and techniques', yet it is called 'trainpetdogreview'.

The name of the blog above is created for achieving high rankings with the words 'review' and 'trainpetdog'. Needless to say, the promotional links all direct us to trainpetdog.com, the place where you will be ripped off. The scammer behind this rip-off site is SEO specialist Sumantra Roy with his office of 'search engine optimizers' in Calcutta, India.

(Other fake review sites that are created by the owners of trainpetdog are dog training user review and does trainpetdog scam (yes, it does). Buyer beware! The first review site presents a product review with remarkable product details and a money back guarantee, suggesting that this is a legitimate review. It is not! The second uses fake visitor comments to recommend their site. These folks know how to confuse people. That's their expertise, not dogs!!!)

Since we have been able to ruin the fame of trainpetdog's owner "Nancy Richards" (originally a pseudonym for Nabanipa Roy, supposedly his sister), they introduce a new character in the blog above, named James Zachary. It is somewhat curious why the link on 'a recommended minicourse' on this review blog directs us to a James Zachary location, while in reality clicking on the link just lands us on the homepage of trainpetdog.com.

However, it is obvious that the bad name of Nancy Richards cannot be related to anything dog training anymore. So they have introduced Ruff Sitwell in the past, and here James Zachary runs this fake blog.

The reader comments on the blog are hilarious. While there is no blog history whatsoever, like you normally expect on blogs, there are customer reviews saying this is 'the best blog ever'. After looking around for awhile at nothing, you notice there are 'register' and 'log in' links.

Now here is the WARNING: do not register for mysterious insider information on dog training reviews. We can guarantee you that no such information exists. Your email will only be used to spam your mailbox.

Our advice to anybody before you sign up or pay anybody on the internet: check out reviews first!

Trainpetdog Review. Scamming is for losers.

Here is a link to a site that posts reviews of trainpetdog. Guess what? They got one star - because zero stars is not possible: sitejabber

One comment writes that their description of a newfoundland is completely insane. The other review of trainpetdog complains about the same as we have been warning people about: they charge $37 and then you don't get anything. We added our one star too.

The reason we are posting this is because trainpetdog took the effort to create as many links to trainpetdog as possible, which includes a site that supposedly is a review of trainpetdog. We answer this by making a post with review and trainpetdog in our heading too, for search engines to find these keywords and keep our ranking up. As long as you remember to first use the internet to find reviews on sites that you are planning to spend money on, you are on the right track. You will find reliable information that informs you about SCAMS by unreliable business people like trainpetdog.

Trainpetdog also created a facebook account and a twitter account, both of which are relatively inactive. This inactivitiy shows their scamming status: there is really no social network that supports them. What they present on the internet is all a self-created fake community. Their 'membership sites' for 'special dog breeds' do not exist. They have tried to purchase existing membership sites and succeeded with bigpawsonly.com that had succesful dogbreed specific forums. It ruined the site and all volunteer moderators left in September of 2009. Ever since the traffic to bigpawsonly has deteriorated. We get messages that they make offers to other dog sites and try to expand their dog imperium.

We are here to prevent that from happening. This is actually relatively easy. With very little effort we are maintaining our near-top ranking with search engines like google and yahoo.

AS LONG AS you check on the internet for sites you want to do business with, you will easily find information that reveals the true nature of scamming sites like trainpetdog.com

In the long run it is more profitable to set up a legitimate business. Scamming really is for losers!

Review of TrainPetDog

Trainpetdog is not giving up its efforts to expand its presence on the internet with scamming practices and misleading information. Other site owners wrote us that they were spamming them with an 'invitation' to put the TrainPetDog Award on their site. This is just a hideous way of promoting their own business, and it doesn't have anything to do with an award whatsoever.

Among their latests efforts to suppress the effect of the word SCAM associated with TRAINPETDOG, trainpetdog has created new websites, in addition to the ones we have listed on our site. which exposes the trainpetdog scheme by Nancy Richards/Nabanipa Roy and Sumantra Roy: NancyRichards.org

Some of these new sites are TrainPetDog.org and TrainPetDogReview.com. They are created to get more Google results with the word TrainPetDog.

TrainPetDog.org is an undeveloped site with some general comments about choosing a dog breed and about separation anxiety. There are no valuable links. It's just there for better ranking with search engines.

The Review site claims to be a blog review of dog training products but several links go back only to trainpetdog.com. Some of their links use the same formula as they have used on their Parrotsecrets-site, by listing popular but totally unrelated items, in this case drugs with links to cheaptabletsonline that is a non-existent page. You can review the nonsense here.

The fact that some of these TrainPetDog sites use good tips and valuable information to attract readers does NOT mean that these sites are reliable. These scammers still charge your credit card after luring you into signing up for club or membership sites that don't exist.

They make you believe there are special training methods for different dog breeds. They do this because you think your breed is special, and they want you to sign up and pay them by promising something special for your special dog.

Yes, your breed is special, but it is not any more special than that other breeds are special to their owners. According to most dog specialists there are no special training techniques for different breeds.

Our review of trainpetdog: stay away from it.

Trainpetdog.com awards

We found that trainpetdog.com gives out awards. So far we can find only two awards posted on the internet. One is for a Pomeranians website located in Southern California. We wrote them, informed them about the scam by trainpetdog.com, and suggested that they may want to remove the award from their site. If they do, here's a copy:

We found one other site, one on Dobermans, that received the award. But they made an error placing it at the bottom of their home page though, so it looks like just text. We let them know as well that they may want to avoid any association with trainpetdog.com

We did, by the way, ask them why they received the award and we hope to come back with an answer soon.

Who is Jessica Jones?

Jessica-Jones.info is a strange website. It's one of those scams about how to make $8000 a month while barely doing anything. Some script turns this site into a promotion of trainpetdog.com using an affiliate program. See by clicking here. The people who join the affiliate program of trainpetdog.com are the ones who drive traffic to trainpetdog.com, and are getting a portion of the sale by trainpetdog.com.

We wonder who this really is: you can buy the product for a suspicious $67, which reminds us a lot of the price for access to the membership site by Sumantra Roy's trainpetdog.com.

The site is listed with Google when you look for "Nabanipa Roy:"

The link in the above listing brings you to this page (update: the site does not exist anymore). It is a page that automatically lists links with the words "nancy richards" in it. Using the blogger's tool Wordpress, it was programmed in such a way that our site is listed on the page as well - probably not what the author wanted, but too late...! No matter what link you click next, all links get you to trainpetdog.com.

Myeasyhomejob comes from the desk of Jessica Jones. It's most likely how the site started before they put jessica-jones.info in front of it.

We understand that making a product is not going to get you far on the internet. You need to market it as well. The problem with this marketing is that there is not even a real product in the end.

Nancyrichards.org gets 60 to 90 visitors a week

The number of visitors to our site is steadily increasing. We are now helping 15 to 20 people a day quickly understand that they are dealing with a scam when they purchase anything from Nancy Richards or the trainpetdog.com sites. Most visitors search for "trainpetdog.com" and find our site. On Google we are the second link when you type in trainpetdog. Many others look for "Nancy Richards" or "dog training institute." For all of them it is easy to quickly find us. We actually now list better than Ripoffreports.com. So we certainly have achieved our first goal. If you check on the internet before buying, you'll find out soon.

It's easy to understand that not all people do, though. We get letters from people who are embarrassed, or barely can believe they stepped into this cheap scam. But Sumantra Roy is very smart by flooding the web. Fishing with a large net always gets some fish. Operating from a country with a lower income level apparently makes this large-scale flooding of the internet a profitable business. Trainpetdog.com still gets around 112,000 visitors a month. We cannot imagine this business' own conversion rate is more than 0,5% but that still would be 600 sales a month. At the lowest rate of a $37 one-time charge, that is still $22,000 a month in rip-offs.

It's only guessing for the numbers. Reports that he would be raking up $400,000 a year could be true. So we still have a lot to do. One way to do that is keep reporting with information. So below a peek into our traffic statistics.

We have written an email to www.domainpeople.com, the host of trainpetdog.com, asking them what their policies are regarding hosting scam sites. Below a copy of the email. We look forward to hearing back from Domainpeople.com.

What are your policies regarding hosting fraudulent websites? According to Networksolutions.com you are the host of trainpetdog.com and probably many affiliated sites, owned by Sumantra Roy, presenting himself as a SEO specialist and owner of etrendsetters.com and conversionmultiplier.com. But he also owns trainpetdog.com, dogpottytrain.com, the dogtraininginstitute.com and many other "dog training institute" sites.

Please visit our site: www.nancyrichards.org exposing the scams by Sumantra Roy, and please evaluate the legitimacy of his sites. They are being reported to scam people. He charges for dog breed specific membership sites, but never delivers a site link, membership name and password. Lately he adds monthly charges to people's credit cards. They have to replace their cards to avoid further charges. He also doesn't respond to email or phone calls.

We are looking to address this scam and have Sumantra Roy either make his business legitimate or remove it from the internet. One way to do this is to hold hosts of websites accountable. Please let us know what you can do or what your policies are regarding hosting scams.

What to do when you find out you have been scammed?

We regularly get mail asking what to do when you find out that you have been scammed by trainpetdog.com or any of the other dogtraining sites or parrotsecrets.com by Sumantra and Nabanipa Roy.

Here is such a letter:
I believe I have been a victim of the scam involving Nancy Richards and the Dog Training Institute for which I paid $37 membership fee. I have been unable to cancel my "free" subscription to The Elite Dog Club and none of the links they send work. Please advise.

Here is our answer:
I am sorry to hear that you found out that you were scammed. You are not the only one! Most people block and replace their credit card to avoid further charges. This type of scamming (repeated charges) has become worse lately, so we recommend that you follow this suggestion. Please refer your bank or institution to www.nancyrichards.org for further information about the scam.

Try to get your money back by writing a letter (snail mail) to Nabanipa Roy in India. This may be the last step that actually works. You can find more information about getting your money back in the "terms of use" on any of the scam sites. Our site has some more information about it too.

Trainpetdog fakes funding of dog rescues

Here is a new way to get your money back from Trainpetdog. Trainpetdog.com claims to donate $25,000 to dogs in need. Nabanipa (Nipa) Roy self-published an article on PRNews, a website alluring to be a third-party news site, but in reality a self-promotional site. She explains the need for funding for dog rescues under the misleading header "puppy training". You better hurry: the offer, as it says at the bottom of the application page, is valid for only 15 days (the article was posted on June 25, 2009). What more can there be to a scam??
